8K HDMI ARMOURED ACTIVE OPTICAL FIBRE CABLES - PRE-INSTALL

These Active Optical Fibre Cables support HDMI 2.1, 8K@60Hz HDR, and 48Gbps of bandwidth. These cables are protected by reinforced stainless steel armour for greater durability. They also include an IP68 cable connector housing to help builders and installers protect the connectors during roll-out. Due to the use of optical conductors, the active cable is very slim and only has an OD of 6mm. Furthermore, they support ARC (Audio Return Channel) up to 30M and HDCP 2.2, ensuring compatibility with your audio and video sources.

NO HDMI EXTENDERS REQUIRED

All copper-based HDMI cables have attenuation and interface issues. As a result, the longest passive HDMI cable runs cannot be over 3M for 8K.
Compared to copper cables, fibre cables are effective in cable runs of 100 metres or more! They are also 60% lighter than copper cables. Furthermore, fibre cables are extremely flexible. It can be bent to 180° with a radius as low as 10 mm. This makes fibre cables easy to install in tight spaces. HDMI over fibre uses light waves to transmit audio and video data through the fibre cables in one direction, and it uses copper strands for +5v power, EDID detection, and HDCP authentication, making the cable a hybrid. Fibre optic cables offer high bandwidth, low signal attenuation, and resistance to external interference.
HOW IT WORKS
The opt-electronic converters inside the cable heads convert the incoming electrical signal into optical on one end and back into electrical on the other end. Cable is a hybrid composed of fibre and copper cables. The copper cables are used for non-video information such as EDID, HDCP authentication, hot plug detection, grounding, and +5v power. The fibre strands carry all the video and audio content; there is no need for an extra power supply.
