What Is A Double Crimp?

• A double crimp features two crimping surfaces.
• Firstly, an inner crimping ring which is directly attached to the spade lug, this crimps to the exposed cable core.
• Secondly the outer crimping ring secures both the cable core and outer sheath to the crimp terminal.
• This results is a vastly more reliable connection.
• The diagram below shows how the outer crimping ring surrounds the inner ring, ensuring a quality connection every time. For best results, use the Altronics T 1552A.
